Death occurs of Adam Whiston, Royal Tara's former Professional

The death has occurred of Adam Whiston, Royal Tara Golf Club's retired PGA Professional.

Mr Whiston, of Silverlawns, Navan and formerly of Foxrock, Dublin, died peacefully this morning at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan.

He retired in 2007 having been pro at Bellinter for some 30 years, and president of PGA Ireland in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Mona, family, Shane, Debbie and Anita, grandchildren Liam, Kate, Elif, Adam and Sadiye; sons-in-law Paul and Tarkan; daughter-in-law Sharon; sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

In accordance with government guidelines and the HSE regulations, a private service will take place in Mount Jerome Crematorium.
