Male pedestrian fatally injured after being struck by car at Balrath

Gardaí are currently at scene of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N2 at Ballymagarvey Farm, Balrath this morning, Tuesday 24th October, 2017 at approximately 6.50am 

A male pedestrian (40s) was fatally injured when he was crossing the road and struck by a car. His body has been removed to Navan Mortuary where a post mortem will take place. 

A section of the N2 is currently closed  from Balrath Cross to Porter's Cross to facilitate a forensic collision  examination with local diversions in place. The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
