McGoona Big Band performs for Aisling

After its launch earlier this year in the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, Michael McGoona and the Big Band Revival is returning to the same venue this month for another performance, this time in aid of Aisling Group International Charity. The repertoire will include music for everyone from Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Glen Miller to Whitney Houston, Billy Joel, Abba and many more. Band members are founder and director and saxaphone player Michael McGoona; saxaphone players Dessie Smyth, Jarvis Martin, Tony McGoona, Eimear Flanagan, Kristina Baker Kenny, and Derek McGoona; trumpets Colm McGoona, Sean Lynch, and Mick Boyle; trombones Bobby Lynch, John O"Brien and Hugh Coyle, lead guitar Joe Beggy; acoustic and electric base guitar Austin Whearity; piano, Ollie Smyth, percussion, Pat Courtney and singers Angela Shanny and Alec Caprani. Art by leading artist John Ryan will be on display at this event.
