McAteer on the mark again

Wilkinstown, Navan trainer Liam McAteer landed the opening race at Bellewstown on Thursday evening with Croisultan. The promising two-year-old is owned by a syndicate which includes members of the Wolfe Tones GAA club. Jockey Michael Cleere chased leaders early and improved to lead over a furlong out to win from Brown Vixen "That was a very professional performance by the horse which was very unlucky previously at Fairyhouse," stated the trainer. "Michael rides work for me regularly and he advised me to drop him back in trip. We'll look for a winners of one race now," he added.
