There was passion, commitment and a high level of entertainment evident in this Meath & District League Premier encounter at the Tollstone on Sunday. Duleek were first to find the target when a James Guilfoyle corner was headed home by Simon Neery. Slane threatened before they finally conjured up an equaliser when Jeff Warren superbly slotted home Robbie Carr and Colin Woods also had chances for Slane in the second-half but this full-blooded encounter ended level. Thomas Conaty got the ball over the line from a Paul Curtin free to put Robinstown ahead at the break with Brian Connolly and Seanie Bennett going close for Kells/Blackwater. Robinstown added a second when Mark Keating scored. Kells/Blackwater hauled a goal back when Bennett netted a penalty after Thomas Smith was fouled. Kells opened the scoring early on with a goal from Robin McLoughlin. Boyne Harps equalised before the break and went on to score two more to seal the win. DIV 3 Johnstown 3 Donacarney 3 Despite leading 1-0 and 3-1 at different stages Johnstown were fortunate to come away with a draw from this MDL Div 3 encounter on Sunday. Dave Grumley gave Johnstown a half-time lead. Ronan Croke doubled that advantage before Donacarney hit back with a goal. Keith Mangan made it three for the Navan side.
