Kilbride members mark 30 years of No Name Club

Members of Kilbride No Name Club joined the recent national 30th anniversary celebrations of the association. No Name Club is the national voluntary organisation providing a range of activities for young people free from the pressures of alcohol and drugs. Over 400 No Name Club members and former hosts and hostesses from across the country attended No Name Club"s anniversary celebrations. The event included special presentations to No Name Club founders Eamonn Doyle, Fr Tom Murphy and Kilkenny hurling legend Eddie Keher. No Name Club also launched their 30 year magazine 'Footprints in the Sands of Time" and, following dinner, guests were treated to special variety performances from young people across the country. 'No Name Club enables young people to enjoy positive alternatives to alcohol and drug centred activities, building self-confidence and increasing awareness of the effects of alcohol and drugs to help young people make informed choices when they are older,' says Martin Ryan, CEO of No Name Club. 'It is a great achievement to be celebrating our 30th anniversary, particularly with our founding members who have seen the organisation grow from strength to strength since 1978.' No Name Club is actively seeking volunteers to provide further clubs for young people across Meath.
