Mr J Corrigan, Trim The death occurred recently of Mr John Corrigan (84) of St Patrick"s Park, Trim, at his residence following a short illness. A native of Clifton, Athboy, Mr Corrigan attended national school in Rath Cairn and later in Kilbride, Trim. Through economic necessity in the 1930s, he left school and went to work as a farm labourer. Following that, he worked as a lorry driver in Newmans of Athboy, and moved to Trim following his marriage to Kate (nee Donohoe) in 1952, joining the staff of Spicers as a bread delivery man until retirement in 1989. Deceased was well known in south Meath and parts of Westmeath as 'Johnny the Breadman". On retirement from Spicers, Mr Corrigan worked part-time as a school bus driver with Christy Owens, and had a great understanding of children and loved to relate funny stories to them. He was a dedicated family man who was always available to family, friends and neighbours with practical help. Mr Corrigan was an expert gardener and was a regular prize winner at the Royal Meath Show and in the Trim Town Gardens competitions. He was also a long standing member of County Meath Golf Club, Trim. Deceased always followed the fortunes of the Meath football team and also loved a flutter on the horses. He was a stalwart of the St Patrick"s Park Residents Association for 54 years, and in recent years he volunteered as a driver for Trim Meals on Wheels, a task he enjoyed greatly. Mr Corrigan was predeceased by his wife, Kate; brothers, Ben and Jim; sisters, Rose Newman and Mary Boyle; and grandson, Adam Corrigan. He is survived by his daughter, Frances McGrath, Sligo; sons, Shay, Sean and Michael, Trim, Pat, Dublin and Brendan, Kildalkey; 23 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Peig Maguire, Kildalkey; son-in-law, daughters-in-law; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral took place from St Patrick"s Church, Trim, to St Loman"s Cemetery. Mrs I Ryan, Navan The death occurred on 27th September last of Mrs Ita Ryan, Academy Street, Navan, at Our Lady"s Hospital. Mrs Ryan was a member of the Reilly family of Academy Street. She is survived by her husband, Padraig (Pat); brothers, Jim, Essex, Oliver, Essex, Frank, Navan; sisters, Philomena Ryan, Birmingham, Cepta Howard, Devon and Mary Smyth, Navan, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. The funeral took place from St Mary"s Church, Navan, to St Mary"s Cemetery. Mrs M Mooney, Trim Mrs Mary (Molly) Mooney, Blackfriary, Trim, who died recently, was a member of the Hughes family of Trim and was aged 86 years. Wife of the late Patrick Mooney, who passed away in 1988, she was aged 86. Deceased was housekeeper for Dr Larry and Dr Ann McEntee and was a familiar figure cycling around the town. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Hughes, Finglas, Phyllis Hughes, Kildalkey, Eileen Hughes, Kildalkey, Kathleen Hughes, Nurney, Co Kildare and Rene Hughes, England; nieces, Marie Casey, Margaret Morgan, Breda Kelly, all Trim, Elizabeth Walsh, Bernie Hughes, Catherine Malone, all Dublin; Rita Kemmy, Joan Bracken, Anne Clarke, Bernadette Moore, Mary Scanlon, all Kildare; nephews, Dessie, Tony, Shawn Hughes, all Dublin, Oliver, Noel, Pat, and Gerard Hughes, all Kildalkey, Eugene, Michael, Patrick and David Hughes, England, Eamon, Pat, Brian, Ken and Dermot Hughes, Nurney, Co Kildare; and their families. The funeral took place from St Patrick"s Church, Trim, to St Loman"s Cemetery.
