Locals talk to Joe as he opens new Navan offices

RTE"s Joe Duffy attracted a lot of attention when he visited Navan last week to compere the official opening of Sheridan Insurances and Financial Services new offices in Trimgate Street. The Mayor of Navan, Cllr Padraig Fitzsimons, and the president of the local Chamber of Commerce, Mary Sadlier, were among attendance and warmly welcomed Sheridans to Trimgate Street. RTE"s Liveline host launched Sheridan"s campaign to find their number one customer in a free draw - the winner of which will receive a €500 voucher to spend in any shop in Trimgate Street. The winner of the raffle will be drawn by Joe Duffy on 17th December. Established over 25 years ago, Sheridan Insurances is a family business. They had their Navan office in Cannon Row, but managing director Benny Sheridan said he always wanted to move to busy, bustling Trimgate Street. 'I spotted this office some years ago when I was buying fish in seafood shop across the road and liked the bright, airy look of the place. The official opening is an opportunity for us, as one of the newest traders on the street, to meet all our fellow traders and have a get together,' he said. At the launch Cllr Fitzsimons spoke of the importance of local businesses supporting each other. Rev John Clarke, Church of Ireland Rector, Navan, and Rev Brendan Ludlow, CC, Navan, blessed the office and wished the business well. Mary Sadlier praised Sheridan"s use of technology and said that good businesses were run on accurate, factual information.
