Backroom Sessions host Future Kings

Future Kings Of Spain take to the stage in Navan"s Backroom Sessions at the Lantern on Friday night, 31st October. With Joey Wilson on vocals and guitar, Karl Hussey on guitar, Anton Hegarty, bass guitar and drummer Bryan McMahon, Future Kings Of Spain last year released their highly anticipated sophomore album 'Nervousystem" . 'Nervousystem" follows their self titled debut which was released in Ireland, Japan, Australia and the UK through Independent UK Label Red Flag Records. It included singles and live anthems 'Venetian Blinds", 'Hanging Around" and 'Face I Know" (debuting at number nine in the UK rock charts). In the same year the band scooped Best New Band at the Meteor Ireland Music Awards, performed to 40,000 people at Sonicmania in Japan, toured and performed with many international acts including Muse, The Strokes and Biffy Clyro. The Irish Times described the album as 'a confident collection of edgy pop-metal tunes that align FKOS alongside such grown up acts as Foo Fighters and Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club. The addition of guitarist Karl Hussey... has not so much beefed up the sound as created more space to balance the metallic with the melodic.' Tickets for Friday"s gig are €12 from e2 Music, it begins at 9.30pm with support from The Whatmans and Robotnik.
