Raider peeks into winners' enclosure

Popular Meath trainer Tommy Carberry enjoyed a profitable journey to Clonmel today. The Ratoath handler won a handicap hurdle with Peak Raider, which is owned by the Swings & Roundabouts Syndicate. Philip Carberry did the steering on board the four-year-old which was bred by Ballylinch Stud in Kilkenny. The gelding had run twice on the flat in France before arriving in the Royal County and today was ahead at the second last flight. The duo stayed on well for a comfortable success. Barry Geraghty was also on the mark at the Tipperary track when he won the two-mile, four-furlong chase with the Tom Taaffe-trained Glenfinn Captain. Not to be outdone, Paul Carberry also got in on the act by taking the handicap hurdle with El Jo for trainer Michael Hourigan.
