Meath sports personality of the month - October - Sean Boylan

Dunboyne man and former Meath senior football manager Sean Boylan is the Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotels sports personality-of-the-month for October. Boylan guided Ireland to a first away win in seven years in the International Rules series last month. His gamble with the selection of David Gallagher as the penel"s only goalkeeper paid off and the Cormac McAnallen Cup was the prize for victory at the MCG last Friday. The overall winner will be selected from the 12 monthly winners and any of the outstanding achievement recipients. There will also be a number of additional awards including a "young sports personality-of-the-year" and a Hall of Fame. Monthly winners receive a specially commissioned award from local Meath artist Seamus Cassidy and there will also be a one-off trophy for the overall winner.
