Navan Mayor pays tribute to twin town

The Mayor of Bobbio, Navan"s twin town, and councillors from the Italian town paid a recent visit to Navan on their way to a function in Bangor, Co Down. The delegation was met by the Mayor of Navan, Cllr Padraig Fitzsimons, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Philip Brennan and elected members. Mayor Fitzsimons outlined his vision for the development of our links with Bobbio through a number of cultural, educational, economic and sporting programmes which Navan Town Council were in the process of advancing. The Mayor of Bobbio, Roberto Pasquali, thanked the mayor and members of Navan Town Council for their continued support and commitment in developing real links with their town and invited the mayor and members to attend the St Columbanus celebrations being held in Bobbio on 23rd November.
