New Fiesta prices out

Ford has announced full details of the specification and prices for the new Fiesta model, which has just been launched on the Irish market. The new Ford Fiesta will be based on three main series: Style, Zetec-S and Titanium. The entry level Fiesta Style is available with the option of a 1.25 and 1.4 petrol and a 1.4 TDCi engine. It comes with a host of standard features, some new for a car in this class, that include alloy wheels and fog lights, seven airbags, remote central locking and power front windows and mirrors. Prices start from €15,395. In addition to above Style series, the Fiesta Zetec-S, with a 1.6 petrol engine, comes with unique 16' alloys, air conditioning, halogen projector silver headlamps, sport suspension, large rear spoiler, front sports seats, front and rear bumper skirts, and leather steering wheel. Prices for the Zetec models start at €17,295. The top-of-the-range Fiesta Titanium models with a 1.25 and 1.4 petrol and a 1.4 TDCi engine features (in addition to Style features), special alloy wheels, air conditioning, sports seats, chrome grill surround and belt line finisher, front fogs with chrome surrounds, halogen projector silver headlamps, and aesthetic ambient lighting. Prices for the Titanium models start from €16,995. This is a new and bigger car, with more internal space and good road-holding. The new models reflect a significant price increase over the older Steel II entry models, which started at €14,669 for the three-door model. Ford dealers across the country kicked off a special 10-day 'week" last Friday, centering on the launch of the new Ford Fiesta. As well as special offers on the 2009 range of Ford models, there is the chance to enter a draw to win a €5,000 shopping spree with an RTÉ 'Off The Rails" stylist. It"s not just new car buyers that Ford dealers are reaching out to next week: strong new car sales in 2008 have left Ford dealerships with a healthy supply of quality used cars, with plenty of bargains in these cost-conscious times, especially on the Focus, which is one of the best regarded used cars on the market.
