Gaelscoil na Bóinne shines in festive concert

The true spirit of Christmas was palpable in Gaelscoil na Bóinne last week during the impressive concert, 'Ceolchoirm na Nollag" which took place on 17th and 18th December. It was a true testimony to the wonderful school spirit that everything came together on the night. A troop of busy parents worked hard all week to decorate the school hall, hang lights, make curtains, and they were on hand both nights to make sure everything from parking, ticket sales, sound and lighting ran smoothly. The children excelled themselves with their class performances of song, dance, music and drama - the result of lots of hard work, practice and talent. The icing on the cake was the generous contributions given by the audience on both nights - the school collected €1,000 for the St Vincent de Paul. Pictured is Mr Ted Murtagh (president of the Vincent de Paul, Trim) receiving the cheque for €1,000 from school Principal Cindí Uí Bhuachalla , sixth class pupils, Múinteoir Caitríona Ní Fhlaithearta and Múinteoir Siobhán Uí Dhonaill.
