Duleek are too strong for Trim

Duleek were victorious in this Meath & District Premier League clash at the Tollstone on Sunday. The winners got off to a perfect start when Colin Woods opened the scoring in the first minute. However, an understrength Trim side responded well and were unlucky to be one down at the break after Aaron Fay"s goal-bound effort was brilliantly saved by David Andrews. The visitors equalised early in the second-half when Andrews could only parry an Alan Douglas effort and Patrick Conway finished the rebound. Duleek responded excellently and went back in front when Paddy Coates netted from an acute angle. Despite having to do some last-ditch defending, it was Duleek who finished off the scoring when Ian Devine struck from long range in injury-time to wrap up the points. Paul Dowd, Simon Neery and Colins Wood were most impressive for the winners while Trim Celtic had good displays from Conway, Douglas and Fay.
