Peter cunningham, Ballivor The regretted death occurred on 9th January last of Mr Peter Cunningham, Coolronan, Ballivor, at his home. Mr Cunningham (64) was a farmer and was a member of Ballivor GFC for many years. From the time his sons started playing football with Ballivor, as well as school matches in Coolronan, Mr Cunningham"s car was filled with children, not only his own, but friends and team-mates too. When his son Damian played under-age football for Meath, Mr Cunningham was there again driving to all the training sessions and games and he and his wife Nuala never missed one of these events. Damian and his daughter Ramona were big into athletics with Fr Murphy"s Club, Athboy and Mr Cunningham was again there with his car driving the children the length and breadth of the country from Antrim to Cork. Perhaps it was fitting that Mr Cunningham suffered a massive heart attack while driving his car on the land he loved so well and died instantly. Small in stature, he was a big family man. He lived for his wife and children and was so proud of all their achievements. A man of low profile, he did many good deeds in the background, inconspicuously. His remains were removed to St Columbanus Church, Ballivor, where Requiem Mass took place followed by burial to the new cemetery in Ballivor.
