Housing development award for two Meath companies

Two Meath firms were recently honoured with a prestigious award for a development on the shores of scenic Lough Gowna in Cavan. Loch Eala, constructed by Kildalkey construction company, Carrignagour Ltd, and designed by Trim-based Declan Clabby & Associates, Trim, scooped this year"s Zurich LAMA award in the category of 'Best Private Housing Development 2009". The Zurich LAMA Local Government Awards were created to honour exemplary projects within the community and to encourage excellence and the pursuit of higher standards. The award is an endorsement of the superior standard of design and construction at Loch Eala. The annual award ceremony, now in its third year, recognises local projects of excellence in construction, engineering and infrastructure, as nominated by local authority members across Ireland. Over 500 hundred guests were in attendance, at which Miriam O"Callaghan was MC, and guest of honour was Michael Kitt, Minister of State for the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.
