Oldcastle"s Aisling gets back to work after 'Five Women" TV appearance
Meath woman Aisling McCabe who was one of the five women who starred in RTÉ"s hit reality TV Show, 'Five Women Go Back to Work", has secured a part-time job out of the series. Aisling, who grew up outside Oldcastle but who now lives in Dunboyne, will join the Ashville Media group as PR and marketing manager on a part-time basis. When she learned during last week"s show that she had got the job, she grabbed hold of her 10-month-old daughter Jane and shouted triumphantly: 'Mummy"s going back to work!' Aisling and her husband, Tom Hand, have three children, Jane (10 months), Rory (2) and Aidan (5). 'Going back to work full-time wouldn"t have suited me, so I am delighted to have got the part-time job,' she said. The TV series followed five mothers from various professional backgrounds as they returned to the workforce after several years in the home. The five were employed by Ashville Media, one of Ireland"s largest publishing houses, and between them they created and produced a women"s glossy magazine, targeted at working women, in only 12 weeks. The magazine, called 'Women Out Working" is now on sale nationwide. Apart from Aisling, two other participants in the show were also offered jobs by the company. Aisling is a daughter of Patsy and Rose McCabe of Ross, Oldcastle, and her husband, Tom, is originally from Dromone. Before having her family, Aisling worked for a number of GAA magazines, including the 'Gaelic World" and 'Gaelic Sport" and then travelled to the US where she worked in internal communications with Deloitte & Touche and, it was while in the US that she met her husband. She starts her new job this week and is really looking froward to it. She will be working two days in the office in Dublin and one day from her home in Dunboyne.
