Diversion to Solstice!
Wales based dance company, Diversions Dance makes a second visit to the Solstice Arts Centre tomorrow (Thursday )12th March, presenting its critically acclaimed new dance show 'Bitter Suite". This sensational show presents 10 of the company"s hand-picked dancers who are set to raise the temperature with three cutting-edge new works from leading international choreographers. Diversions is one of Europe"s busiest dance companies playing to packed audiences in festivals and venue across Europe. Belgian Stijn Celis brings a sizzling ground breaking dance that combines the voice of the legendary James Brown and music from celebrated New York composer Steve Reich. The company"s artistic associate and founding director Roy Campbell-Moore presents a beautiful new creation working with the gorgeous music by the late Welsh composer Alun Hoddinott. And thirdly, energy and excitement are guaranteed with the Diversions team working for the first time with celebrated performer and choreographer, the co-founder of DV8, Nigel Charnock. As well as presenting this exciting performance, Diversions are directing two dance workshops with two very lucky groups; a local school and a local performing arts group.
