'The Plough" for Trim
Trim Drama Group will present the powerful adaptation of Sean O"Casey"s Play 'The Plough and The Stars" in Trim Town Hall nightly at 8pm for four nights from Thursday 30th April through to Sunday 3rd May. This is without doubt O"Casey"s finest play set in a tenement house in Dublin during the 1916 Rising. The play is directed by Kevin Shelly who previously directed 'The Field" and 'One Few Over the Cuckoos Nest" to sell-out audiences. Kevin has gathered together an excellent cast with some new members, including 10-year-old Caoimhe Shelly, Mark Brady, Gillian Doyle, Denise Teelin, Sandra Kilner, Damien Cleere and some very experienced members such as Danny O"Brien, Mark Ryan, Frank O"Reilly, Sheila O"Keefe, Carmel Eliffe, Martin Bolger, Colin Flynn, Craig Regan, Eoin Kenny and Brendan Bagnall. Rehearsals are keeping the cast busy several nights a week and they are all looking forward to entertaining audiences in a few weeks" time and providing a guaranteed recession- and budget-free couple of hours. Tickets (€12/€8 concession) are available from James Allen Hair Design, Haggard Court, Haggard St, Trim, phone (046) 943 7503 or on the door.
