Recent deaths 16-05-09

Great sadness was occasioned by the death of Mrs Nancy Lynch, Rantavan, Mullagh, at Our Lady"s Hospital, Navan, on 18th April last. Mrs Lynch was a member of the O"Reilly family, Crosswater, Ryefield, Virginia, and was born on 13th June 1922. Deceased is remembered as a quiet and reserved person, with a deep religious faith and a particular devotion to the Rosary and St Pio. Mrs Lynch was of a generation that was reared to be self sufficient in their everyday needs. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; six brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sons, Paul and Patrick, Rantavan, Henry, Billywood, Eugene, Navan, John, Mentrim, Drumconrath, Brendan, Dublin; daughters, Rita, Dublin, and Kathleen, Enniscorthy; sister-in-law, Joan O"Reilly, Lishagun; 12 grandchildren; great grandchild; nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral took place from St Kilian"s Church, Mullagh, to the adjoining cemetery, celebrated by Fr John Quinn. A months memory Mass will take place in St Kilian"s Church on Sunday, 31st May, at 11.30am. ______________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ Margaret Marry, Skryne There was considerable sadness in the Tara area with the death of Mrs Margaret Marry, Collierstown, Tara, and formerly of Cabragh, Tara. Aged 89, she was wife of Mr Phil Marry and passed away at Hillview Nursing Home, where she had resided since 2004. Mrs Marry, in the 1940s, had been a ladies travelling companion to Mrs Mona Graham-Toler of Durrow Abbey, Co Offaly, and later of The Grove, Balrath, Navan. She lived with and travelled extensively throughout Europe with Mrs Graham-Toler while the latter resided in Durrow Abbey in the 1940s and subsequently, on the death of Mr Graham-Toler, at The Grove, Balrath, in the 1950s. Deceased, who was a member of the Leyden family of Boyle, Co Roscommon, married Phil Marry in 1955 and they lived at Cabragh until retirement from farming in 1991, when they moved to nearby Collierstown. She is survived by her husband; sister, Maureen Mulhall, USA; brother-in-law, Oliver and wife Rita Marry; nephews, Paschal Marry, Sean Murray, Gerard Murray, and Joseph Murray; nieces Cepta Stafford, Bridie Wogan, Celine Kearney and Margaret Murray; niece-in-law, Vonnie Power, and close neighbours and friends Francis and Mary O"Halloran. The funeral took place from St Colmcille"s Church, Skryne, to the adjoining cemetery, on 30th April last. ______________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ Robert Fagan, Trim There was much sadness over a wide area following the death of Mr Robert (Bobby) Fagan, of Manorlands and Mornington Heights, Trim, on 9th April last. Aged 22, Mr Fagan was a son of Caroline McGuinness and Gerry Fagan. He is survived by his parents; brothers Dominic and Damien; step-brother; step-sisters; partner, Shauna; son, TJ; daughter, Katie; grandparents; and extended family and friends. His remains were removed to St Patrick"s Church, Trim, on 14th April with burial following funeral Mass in St Loman"s Cemetery.
