Mr Christopher (Kit) Comaskey, Johnsbrook, Fordstown, Navan, passed away at his home on 13th June last, aged 90 years. Mr Comaskey was retired from Bord na Mona, Ballivor, where he had worked for 25 years. He was also a long-time member of Headfort Golf Club, Kells. Predeceased by his wife, Mary (Mollie) Drumm, in 2000, deceased is survived by sons, Michael, Johnsbrook; Patrick, Athboy, and Christopher, Kells; daughters, Mary McKeon, Kells, and Margaret Gunning, Athboy; their families and other relatives. The funeral took place from Girley Church to Clonmellon Cemetery. _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________ Margaret Travers, Navan Great sadness was occasioned over a wide area following the recent death of Ms Margaret (Margo) Travers, Kilcarn Court, Navan. She passed away at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, following a brief illness at the age of 63. A daughter of the late Patrick and Kathleen Travers of Ongenstown, Bohermeen, her working life began in Navan Carpets, where she spent 17 years. From there, she took up a completely new career when she joined the staff of Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where she spent 25 years, before retiring in 2004. Deceased is survived by her brothers, Pat, Ardbraccan, Navan; Christy, Durhamstown, and Joseph, Ongenstown; sisters, Teresa Ball, Neilstown, and Mary Spillane, Teltown, Donaghpatrick; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Her remains were removed from her sister Teresa Ball's residence in Bohermeen to St Mary's Church, Navan, and her funeral took place to Bohermeen Cemetery following the funeral Mass there. The Mass was celebrated by Fr Gerry McCormack, Adm, Navan, assisted by Fr Patrick Mackin, PP, Bohermeen, and Fr David Brennan, CC, Bohermeen. On her final journey to Bohermeen Cemetery, deceased was afforded a guard of honour by Our Lady's Hospital staff at the hospital gates. Prayers were recited at the graveside by Fr Mackin, assisted by Fr McCormack. _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________ Annie Fulham, Ballivor The death has taken place of Mrs Annie (Nanny) Fulham, Woodgrove, Ballivor, widow of the late Mr Paddy Fulham, who died in 1989. Aged 89, the late Mrs Fulham, a member of the Ryan family from Ballivor, lived with her husband in Killyon for over 30 years before moving back to Ballivor after his death. Deceased is survived by her sons, Paig, Ballivor, and Thomas, Killyon; daughters, Roseann, Killyon; Margaret, England; Doreen, England, and Cathreen, Ballivor; brothers, Paddy Ryan, Ballivor, and Jimmy Ryan, England; grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral took place from St Columbanus's Church, Ballivor, to Killyon Cemetery. _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________ Josephine Gill, Bohermeen The regretted death occurred recently of Mrs Josephine (Josie) Gill, Jamestown Bridge, Bohermeen, at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan. Aged 92, she was a member of the Duignan family of Athronan, Dunsany. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1980. Deceased is survived by her son, John; daughters, Brigid and Kathleen; sons-in-law, Michael and Peter; grandchildren, Patrick, Michael, Claire and Louise; great-granddaughter, Keisha; nieces, nephews and relatives. The funeral took place from Cortown Church to Moyaugher Cemetery. _____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________ Nell Evans, Clonmellon The community of Clonmellon was saddened by the recent death of Mrs Nell Evans, Kilskyre Road. Aged 92, Mrs Evans was a longstanding member of the community and well-known and respected by young and old alike. Deceased was a hard-working mother who reared a family of 11, all of whom she was very proud of. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who always looked on the bright side of life with very good humour. Predeceased by her husband, John, in 1976, deceased is survived by her sons, William, John, Charley, Thomas, Edward, James and Christopher; daughters, Ann, Mary, Ellen and Margaret; sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grand children, in addition to other relatives. The funeral took place from the Church of Ss Peter and Paul, Clonmellon, to Clonmellon Cemetery, celebrated by Fr Sean Garland.
