Pink Floyd extravagance for Palace

On Friday 11th September, the Irish Pink Floyd Live play a pre-club gig at the Palace in Navan. Establishing themselves as Ireland's unrivalled Pink Floyd covers crew since getting together almost two years ago, the Irish Pink Floyd are currently treating Irish audiences to their sensational live show on sell out summer tour. Described in Play magazine as 'a musical and visual feast for the Pink Floyd fanatic as well as the casual fan alike', the Irish Pink Floyd have quickly established themselves among the most highly rated tributes to one of the most influential rock legends of all'.  Touring extensively and receiving rapturous acclaim over recent months, the Irish Pink Floyd present an exhilarating audiovisual live show that spans the entire 16-album repertoire that their mentors amassed during their 30-year tenure as the archetypal pioneers of experimental rock. The Irish Pink Floyd presents a show that combines the very best of Pink Floyd's back catalogue with the extravagance of their legendary lives shows. The set list includes songs from 'The Dark Side of the Moon', 'Animals', 'Wish You Were Here', 'The Wall' and 'The Final Cut'. Visually, the show is stunning, with the largest sound and lighting system currently on tour in Ireland. The Irish Pink Floyd makes significant use of expanded theatrical elements prevalent in Pink Floyd's elaborate 70s and 80s stage displays such as high-tech lighting, video accompaniments and the obligatory helicopter searchlight, heartbeat and clock chimes; all of which result in an incredible live experience. The Irish Pink Floyd are a six-piece band (ten, counting the sound, lighting and visual technicians) who rock out Pink Floyd's non-singles as frequently as the hits, and have managed to recapture to perfection the musical skills and stage theatrics of the band that has influenced generations. Palace doors open at 10pm, with gig starting at 10.30pm. Admission is €10.
