Slane foursome jumps for SOSAD
Four brave souls from Slane recently jumped from a plane at 13,000 feet to raise funds for a suicide prevention charity. Brian Kelly, Sean McDermott, Sabrina Mahon and Tracey O'Brien travelled to the Irish Parachute Club in Edenderry, Co Offaly, to undertake the jump to raise awareness of suicide and raise the profile of SOSAD Ireland. Apart from Brian Kelly, this was the first time any of the participants had done a parachute jump and all enjoyed the thrill of a lifetime. Their jump was the talk of Slane and helped increase the awareness of SOSAD. SOSAD Ireland is a charity based in Drogheda and Navan that does all it can to help anyone affected by suicide. Its volunteers are available in Drogheda (041) 984 8754 and Navan (083) 371 2622 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help anyone who calls.
