UK soap duo for Palace appearance

The Palace Nightclub in Navan is playing host to two more British television soap stars this weekend when Kym Marsh from 'Coronation Street' and Kelvin Fletcher from 'Emmerdale' plan to arrive there on Saturday night, 3rd October. Marsh, who plays 'Corrie' bar lady Michelle Connor, will be joined by Fletcher, who plays Andy Sugden in the rural soap. Marsh first came into the public eye in 2001 on ITV's talent show 'Popstars' where she made the final line-up with the band HearSay. She left the group in 2002 after a string of chart-topping hits, including 'Pure And Simple' and 'The Way To Your Heart' to pursue her acting career and now plays Irish immigrant Michelle Connor in the top-rated ITV soap. Actor Kelvin Fletcher is well-known to 'Emmerdale' viewers as hunky young farmer Andy Sugden. The duo will jet into Ireland on Saturday evening and will meet soap fans at the nightclub. Darren Kavanagh of The Palace said the club has had a request into management companies in the UK to get Kym Marsh to come to Navan for over a year. TV3's 'Xposé' show is once again set to return to Navan to capture the appearance on the night and footage will go out on the teatime entertainment show. "This is going to be one of the busiest celebrity appearances we have had at the club so anybody wanting to join in the fun should get here early," Mr Kavanagh advised.
