Laughing all the way to Kells!
Kells Comedy Festival 2010 at the Headfort Arms will play host to the biggest acts on the current comedy circuit, including 'Apres Match', stars of 'The Savage Eye', a comical play 'In High Germany', and local up-and-coming comedian Aodhgan Comaskey. Committee member Fred Cooke said: "The Kells Comedy Festival this year has really delivered the finest this country can give with high status television acts, an award-winning play, and the best in local talent." The opening night tomorrow (Thursday 25th February) brings Ireland's favourite comedy trio 'ApresMatch', including Barry Murphy (That's All We Have Time For), Ristard Cooper (Chasing The Lions) and Gary Cooke. Ticket price for this event is €25. Friday 26th brings two unique and special events including a comical play and an open mike event. 'In High Germany' is an award winning comedy play performed by Gerry Motherway. Ticket price for this is €10, with admission to the Vibe nightclub included. Aodhgan's 'Open Mike Comedy Showdown' sees local comedy star Aodhgán Comaskey play host to the finest up-and-coming comedy acts this country has to offer. Ticket Price for this is €10, also with free admission to Vibe included. There is a special deal of getting a ticket that includes 'In High Germany' and Aodhgan's Open Mike Comedy Showdown for €15. Free admission to Vibe is also included. Saturday 27th brings us a triple headliner event with 'Stars from the Savage Eye'. These acclaimed acts include David McSavage, Patrick McDonald and John Colleary. Ticket price for this event is €20.
