Rogers confronted
St Patrick's Athletic player Gary Rogers had more than Shamrock Rovers players to contend with during last Tuesday's League of Ireland game at Tallaght Stadium. Rogers was confronted by an alleged supporter of the home club who had to be restrained by players from both sides. The supporter is expected to face charges for encroaching onto the pitch and threatening Rogers. St Pat's won that game 2-0 and followed it up with win over UCD on Friday night to make it three wins from their first three games with seven goals scored and none conceded. That form has left St Pat's sitting at the top of the table and with Rogers playing in all three games and firmly in place as the number one netminder. "Things are going well for us, we're playing Dundalk at Oriel Park on Friday night and that will be a tough game for us," he said. This is the first time anything like this has happened to Rogers during his 10-year spell in the League of Ireland.
