Rolling Thunder Dylan tribute for Old Darnley

Bob Dylan tribute act Rolling Thunder play the Old Darnley Lodge, Athboy, on Easter Sunday next, 4th April. Rolling Thunder was established by lifelong Dylan fanatic, Ollie Clarke, from Fordstown, who has seen him at least 31 times, all over England, Ireland, and Europe. Rolling Thunder, with the name taken from the album, 'Rolling Thunder Review', was set up in 2008, with the Leavy brothers, Shay and Brendan, from Clonmellon - Shay playing violin and mandolin and Brendan forced out of retirement to join on piano and vocals! Christy Lynch from Kells is on drums and vocals, with Ollie's son, Pearse Clarke on lead guitar. On congos is Kevin McAvinchy from Fordstown, with the drum kit, and on bass and vocals is Noel King from village of Ballinlough, all of whom joined Ollie Clarke on lead vocals with his brand new telecaster. Doors to their Athboy gig on Sunday open at 9.30pm.
