Corrie 'lovers' for Palace appearance

'Coronation Street' actresses, Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson, who play Sian Powers and Sophie Webster, will be the latest British soap stars to appear at The Palace Nightclub in Ludlow Street, Navan, when they land this Friday night, 14th May. The girls who have recently been seen playing lovers in the soap, are the best of friends off-screen and apparently can't wait to come to Ireland for the weekend. TV3's 'Xpose' team will also be rolling into town to film the party. Darren Kavanagh from The Palace said: "The girls have been working flat out filming in recent months, so they jumped at the chance of coming over to join us for the weekend." Sacha celebrated her birthday in March while Brooke's birthday is in three weeks time, so the girls are going to celebrate their birthdays while in Navan, as they are going to be flat out with filming and promotional commitments for the next two months. Brooke's character, Sophie Webster, became Coronation Street's first ever on screen lesbian when she started to have feelings for on screen her best friend Sian Powers, played by Sacha. Confused Sophie has had a bumpy ride in the soap, becoming a born-again Christian, expecting her boyfriend Ben Richardson to stay celibate with her and then fancying her best friend. However in real life the girls are the best of friends and are regularly spotted out and about with the lads in Manchester. "We have had nearly every 'Coronation Street', 'Eastenders' and reality television star at The Palace since we opened, and they all go back to the UK and tell the others what a great welcome they get from the people of Navan," Darren Kavanagh added.
