Ready, steady, cook in Athboy

Athboy Community School held a very successful Healthy Living Week recently under the stewardship of teacher, Ms Denise Dunne. The SPHE 'Postitive Mental Health' Poster Competition was won by Roy Quinn and Shannon O'Sullivan. The Ready, Steady, Cook Competition was held for first, second and fifth year students. The first and second years prepared healthy, balanced lunchboxes and the fifth years produced healthy, balanced main courses. The first year winners were Sheree Kirke and Roy Quinn, Julianne Griffin and Kwelly Dobson. In second year, Kiera Barrett and Andrea McCormack, and Sophie Kelly and Saoirse Byrne were the winners. In fifth year, the prizes went to Anita Mullen and Alison Kiernan, to Dawn Lynch and Kerrie Murtagh, and to Laura Keogh and Carina Wilson.
