Crossakiel's answer to Carrie!

Crossakiel woman Dearbhail McDonnell won a dream makeover with her best friends after proving that she's Ireland's answer to Carrie Bradshaw from 'Sex And The City 2', in an Irish Sun competition. Dearbhail said that she and friends Eimear Quinn, Lorraine Fitzsimons and Aine Gildea share a friendship just like her screen idols from the hit show. "My obsession with 'Sex And The City' began a long time ago but became a real rock for me when I was in hospital," she said. "It gave me strength and confidence to fulfil my wildest dreams, whilst also making me laugh, cry and nurture my absolute love for fashion. I always loved how all the girls dressed but Carrie Bradshaw gave me the inspiration to always make my own quirky statement with fashion. I would literally stay up all night watching the box set of 'Sex And The City'. In my own opinion, they set the real 'girl power' in motion." She added: "Myself and my gal pals enjoy every minute we share together - be it lounging at home, having a fashion show, getting ready for a night out or even going to the gym for a good sweat. We love our cocktail nights in where we basically make cosmos, munch on cheese and olives and dance about to music. Even on nights out, people call us the 'Sex And The City' clan, as we are always together, glamorous and go-getting!" Dearbhail and her friends were treated to a day of pampering, courtesy of the Irish Sun's Totally Xposé column, with hairstyling at Dublin salon Zeba, make-up with Ken Boylan and a style makeover with fashion guru Deirdre Reynolds. After a photoshoot, the girls went for dinner at the Herbert Park Hotel, Ballsbridge, before hitting the tiles for some dancing.
