Get in the groove with Jamirrorquai
Jamirrorquai Live, the ultimate tribute band To Jay Kay appear in The Palace, Navan, this Friday 25th June. A full 12-piece band consisting of live brass, strings, percussion and three way backing vocal harmonies, with a set list covers all of the early releases through to the last song released on the High Times album, the show caters for fans old and new including the Zender era with phat bass lines, disco melodies and dirty rhythms it will keep you on your feet all night long. The band is constantly adapting how it plays the songs and as a result no two shows are ever the same, which means it is always fresh, always exciting and no matter how many times you see the band you will always be surprised at least once. The groove is so important to get right with funk music, and when it's right you feel it more than hear it. You start to move and sway in a completely different way when you hit the sweet spot. The stage show itself has lots of "karaoke moments" where the audience are encouraged to sing along with the band on their own this is sometimes used to allow for a hat change although it could also just be for a good old sing along. Jamirrorquai have performed all over the world and last year opened the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, performed at the Glastonbudget music festival which is Europe's largest tribute band festival and many other car events and motor shows including Irelands own GT900. The band is touring around Ireland from 23rd June until 15th July taking in 20 venues over 21 days and with the real Jamiroquai performing at many music festivals over the summer, why not whet your appetite and come and see a band that do justice to the music of Jay Kay and Jamiroquai. Doors 10pm, gig 10.30pm, adm €10.
