Alltech employees watch countdown to World Games

Workers at Alltech European headquarters just outside Dunboyne recently watched the 100-day countdown to the opening ceremonies of the Alltech-sponsored FEI World Equestrian Games. The World Equestrian Games is one of the world's most prestigious equestrian events and global animal health and nutrition leader and title sponsor Alltech streamed live video of the festivities on their website, which was watched in Dunboyne. The live stream began on Thursday 17th June with the premiere of a promotional video called 'Kentucky Awaits'. It culminated with the announcement of the Alltech Fortnight Festival entertainment line-up for the 16 nights of the event. The 2010 event will define a new chapter in the history of the World Equestrian Games, being the first time the Games have been held outside of Europe and the first time that all competition events will be held at one location - the 1,200 acre Kentucky Horse Park. The competition, involving more than 800 riding competitors and 800 horses from 60 countries, is expected to be attended by as many as 600,000 spectators and viewed by a television audience exceeding 460 million people.
