The death occurred peacefully at her home on 4th August last of Mrs Constance Morrogh Ryan, Gormanston, a member of the Briscoe family, Bellinter, aged 90. Born on 21st November 1919, she had a very happy childhood and youth there hunting, with Meath Hounds and Tara Harriers. Deceased married Col P Moon during the war, and with him had a son, Michael. Her second husband, Major Nick Morrogh Ryan from Dunboyne Castle, hunted with the Meath Hounds and was secretary for a few seasons. They then moved to Dunsandle House in Galway where their daughter Nicola was born. They were very friendly with the great sailor Bill King who lived at Oranmore with his wife Anita. She was of the Leslie family from Glaslough, Co Monaghan and had inherited the Leslie property. She asked Nick and Constance to manage the place which they did for a few years. On from there, they lived in Streamstown House, Co Westmeath, managing the property for an Italian family. Having retired, they purchased a small house at Gormanston where they lived happily until her husband passed away in 1998. Mrs Morrogh Ryan carried on with great support from Michael and Nicola, their family, neighbours and friends and passed away on Wednesday, 4th August to the sadness of her family, brother and sister. She is survived by Michael and Nicola; brother George; sister Stella; daughter-in-law; son-in-law; grandchildren Amanda, David, Jenni, George, Jamie, Sara and Hannah, relatives, neighbours and friends. The removal from her residence St Mary's Church of Ireland, Julianstown, for a Funeral Service, followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium. Donations, if desired, can be made to Meath Palliative Care, in her memory. _____________________________________________________________ Ben White, Ashbourne The death occurred on 30th July last of Mr Ben White, The Rath, Ashbourne, who for over 40 years was a stud groom at Rath Stud. Aged 83, he passed away at Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown. A keen racing fan, he was an annual badge holder at Fairyhouse Racecourse, and also was a GAA supporter and follower, attending all of Meath's seven All-Ireland senior football championship victories. Mr White was predeceased by his wife, Sheila, in December 1980, and is survived by his family, Joseph, Wexford; Michael, Rath, Ashbourne; Ben, Perth, Australia; Peter, Cushinstown, Ashbourne, and Deirdre, Kent, UK. The funeral took place from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ashbourne to the local cemetery. _____________________________________________________________ Michael Heavey, Ashbourne Mr Michael Heavey, Baltrasna, Ashbourne, died on 31st July last, aged 69. Mr Heavey was a native of Ballygar, Co Galway, and was retired. He is survived by his wife, Paula, sons, James, Martin and Colm; daughters, Breda, Caroline, Jackie, Paula and Amy; eight grandchildren; brother and sisters; daughter-in-law; sons-in-law; mother-in-law; niece and many friends and extended relatives. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The funeral took place from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ashbourne to St Declan's Cemetery. _____________________________________________________________ John Ryder, Athboy The death occurred on Friday 25th June last of Mr John Ryder, Fosterfields, Athboy, aged 72. A native of Tuam, Co Galway, deceased was a carpenter. A master of his trade, he was a true perfectionist who was very dedicated to his work, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Deceased is survived by his wife, Josephine, and daughter, Anne. The funeral took place from St James' Church, Athboy, to St James' Cemetery. _____________________________________________________________ Josephine White, Navan and Rush Widespread regret was occasioned following the death of Mrs Josephine (Josie) White, The Mall, Rush, Co Dublin, aged 85, peacefully at her residence. Wife of the late Michael White, who died in 1999, she was a member of the Gallagher family, Trimgate Street, Navan. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Niamh, and daughter-in-law, Bronách, in 2009. Deceased is survived by her sons, Damien, Kenneth, David, Alan, Eric, Ian and Paul; daughters-in-law, grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister-in-law; Kathleen Fagan; nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral took place from St Maur's Church, Rush, to Whitestown Cemetery, Rush on 30th July last.
