Spirits of Meath Halloween Video on YouTube
Did you know that Halloween, which is famous the world over, began at Tlachtga ( Hill of Ward) in County Meath some 2000 years ago? This unique message is being brought to millions of people worldwide while promoting its 2nd ever Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival which takes place throughout the County from October 22nd - 31st 2010.
Meath Halloween Launch Video on YouTube! Quite what the ancient Celts, for whom Samhain or Halloween as we now know it marked the end of the old Celtic Year, would have thought of the startling array of Halloween costumes on display at the film shoot on Sunday in Trim is unknown; but they can only have been impressed with how the county is branding itself as the ‘Home of Halloween’ in a bold move to rightfully claim market leadership of what is today the fastest growing festival in the world. The short video was filmed by oulala productions and used volunteers from around the county to shoot the flash mob style production which Meath Tourism hope will become the next sensation across the internet to promote this year’s Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival! With the support of Failte Ireland and the festival media partners the Meath Chronicle, this year’s festival sees 40 spine tingling events taking place over 10 days in every corner of the county making it Ireland’s biggest (and scariest!) Halloween Festival.
