Local restaurants feature strongly at awards
County Meath featured strongly in the recent Restaurant Association of Ireland awards held in Dublin. Navan’s The Loft was a finalist in the Meath Best Restaurant category and the Ground Floor in Kells was nominated in the Meath Best Casual Restaurant category. This follows on from recommendations for both restaurants in food writer Georgina Campbells’ 'Best Places to Eat in Ireland’. In business in Navan for over 15 years, The Loft continues to provide quality food at affordable prices and this is even more evident in recent times with the introduction of its new recession-beating 'Winter Warmer’ offers. Now open from the earlier time of 1pm every Sunday, The Loft in Navan and its sister restaurant The Ground Floor in Kells are offering 20 per cent off all food ordered before 3pm. In addition, new 'All Nighter’ menus are also starting in the restaurants offering two courses for €20 and three courses for €25. Another seasonal offer is the Tennerfest, a novel idea that promises to appeal to foodies looking for good value with burgers and popular pizzas and pastas available for €10 up to 7pm daily. Both restaurants place emphasis on the Feile Bia programme - promoting 100 per cent use of Irish meat and poultry.
