'Sleeping Beauty' promises to be a fun night out for all ages.

Classic panto for Trim this week

Trim Musical Society will host the classic panto 'Sleeping Beauty' in Trim Town Hall nightly at 8pm from starting today (Wednesday) until Saturday 11th December, with matinee shows at 3pm on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th December. This fun for all ages panto has a medley of characters and is directed by Helen McHugh and choreographed by Joanne Kennedy. Emma Stowe plays the dream part of 'Sleeping Beauty' with Shane Fox as 'Prince Charming' and there are many other hilarious characters taking to the stage. 'Sleeping Beauty' also has its own amazing cast from 'Stagecraft' and 'Stagecraft Plus', the Musical Society stage school. Over 100 children, ranging in ages from four to 16, will take part with songs from Take That, Dolly Parton, Elvis, Jedward, Lady Ga-Ga, Michael Bublé and more. There are 22 dancers costumed and specially designed by Debbie Walsh and her team, adding to the glitz and glamour of a traditional Christmas pantomime with local and current gags, custard pies and a haunted bedroom. A post-budget take on 'The 12 Days of Christmas' is sure give a laugh or two, and much more, to get the Christmas season off to a special start. There are only six performances and tickets are selling fast, priced €12 or €10 for groups of eight and over.
