Horgan stars as Leinster share the spoils
Shane Horgan rolled back the years when he skated in for a late try as Leinster launched a remarkable second-half comeback to earn a 17-17 draw with the Scarlets in the Magners League at Parc y Scarlets on Friday night. Displaying the type of pace that helped him earn 65 caps for Ireland, the Bellewstown man took a pass on the right wing and skipped past a despairing tackle before touching down in the corner. Jonny Sexton converted to draw Leinster level. Horgan also played a crucial role in the creation of Leinster's only first-half try throwing the ball acrobatically back for Eoin O'Malley to drive over. Fergus McFadden also grabbed a late try for the resurgent visitors who trailed 5-17 at one stage. Early in the game Horgan's efforts prevented the Scarlets from getting a touchdown when he got to the ball before an opponent.
