Hotels’ collaboration will see 6,000 spring visitors in Trim
Two Trim hotels, Trim Castle Hotel and Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, have announced the recent sale of over 3,000 bedrooms, which will bring an anticipated 6,000 visitors to Trim in early 2011. Both hotels were extremely successful in offering value deals in a once-off offer last week. The 6,000 guests will be booking into the two hotels on both midweek and weekend dates between January and April 2011. The joint marketing operation by both Hotels stressed not only their reputations for quality and fantastic facilities but also the romantic backdrop of Trim Castle and the fact that Trim is a Heritage Town which makes it an attractive location for a short springtime break. With a number of events planned at both hotels, including 'Reeling in the Showband years' presented by Ronan Collins, scheduled to take place in Trim Castle Hotel on 14th January, Brendan Grace on 3rd March, 'The Three Amigos' at Knightsbrook on 9th March, Declan Nerney in April, Christy Mooore in May and Daniel O'Donnell in July, both hotels hope that these events will encourage both local and visiting guests to avail of their facilities all year round. Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort will also play host to the Junior Solheim Cup in September 2011. “Some 6,000 new visitors to Trim is a wonderful opportunity for other spin-off businesses, such as restaurants, pubs, cafés, hairdressers, taxis and local shops to work with the hotels in offering good value and a warm welcome,†a spokesperson said. “This will encourage guests to return to Trim in the future or to tell someone else about our lovely town. We all know that times are tough but it is initiatives such as these that will not only benefit the hotels but the many businesses throughout the town that rely on visitor numbers.†The spokesperson added: “Competing businesses coming together in a collaborative spirit will benefit the whole community. It is this spirit that will make Trim one of the best places to be in early 2011.â€
