Ed needs votes for Tunebreaker Award
As a result of her UK Tunebreaker Chart success, Tara's Ed Darragh has been picked up by Electric Sofa Media, the UK's Newest Movie Channel, to edit classic cartoons and to put soundtracks she has written to the animations. She describes it as a songwriters dream come true. Currently Number 1 In the Myspace Charts in Ireland and at Number 4 in the UK Tunebreaker Download Chart, Ed may well be on the way to winning a UK Tunebreaker New Music Award. The highest downloaded artist by 3rd March will pick up the much-coveted UK Tunebreaker Inaugural New Music Award and a cheque for £10,000 pounds sterling. There are still three weeks left to the award, and Ed, daughter of Dr Austin Darragh and sister of the late showjumper, Paul, needs people to go online and download her songs and soundtracks (74 cent) in order to top the chart and to be in with a chance to win the award for Tara, on www.tunebreaker.com/eddarragh She is deeply grateful to The Electric Sofa Movie Channel for giving her the break, and says she has utter admiration for John Toone, creator of The UK TuneBreaker Download Chart Award. “To be picked up by two massive powerhouses so late in my career is truly breathtaking and I hope many women my age will see this as an inspiration,†Ed, who is 51, says. She will release her debut album 'Leeson Street Bridge' through TuneBreaker following the awards. Check out link www.tunebreaker.com/eddarragh.
