2011 Meath Rose to be chosen this Saturday

Clare Kambamettu, the 2010 International Rose of Tralee, who will be in attendance this Saturday night, 9th April, in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan, for the 2011 Meath Rose of Tralee selection. Sarah McCann, the outgoing Meath Rose, will hand over her sash to one of the 14 contenders in this year's selection. Newstalk's sports presenter Oisin Langan will be the MC for the night, putting each of the Roses at ease as they talk about what qualities they have to become the next Meath Rose of Tralee. Each Rose will take to the stage on Saturday and a panel of three judges will decide who will be choosen to represent Meath at the regional finals in Portlaoise on the June bank holiday weekend. There will be 26 other Irish Roses in Portlaoise and six will be selected from thiie group to go forward to the International Festival in Tralee in August. Tickets are available from the reception of the Newgrange Hotel priced at €20 for adults and €10 for children under 16 years of age. The Meath Rose Selection will start at 8pm sharp.
