No deaths in Slane since traffic calming
Dear sir - Since traffic calming measures were introduced in Slane in 2001 there have been no deaths and only two minor accidents. The latter caused by brakes on a lorry failing. These facts were accepted in the bypass EIS. Yet Slane residents are allowed misuse their own dead to paint a picture of a death trap and to gain a road that will maul a landscape of ancient, immense spiritual importance. Why? Yours, John Farrelly. 29 Ballybough Road, Dublin 3.
