Landowner's donation to Ratoath school keeps project on track
A landowner in Ratoath has donated an acre of land to St Paul's National School, which will provide a play area for the pupils of the new school currently under construction for 600 students, due to open in September. Local county councillor Nick Killian said he was very pleased that the building of the new school was forging ahead and would be ready for this September. "I also want to congratulate local landowner Luc Hemeryck who has donated one acre at the front of the school to the board of management, which will increase the site from three-and-a-half acres to four-and-a-half acres and will create a beautiful green play area for the students of St Paul's," he added. He said this gesture had been warmly welcomed by the principal, Morag McGowan, and the board of management. "I am very pleased to be associated with this very generous gesture to the community of Ratoath by Mr Hemeryck, which the present and future children of Ratoath will get great benefit from," Cllr Killian said.
