Kells stages life story of Cole Porter

Kells Musical Society is to stage 'The Music of Cole Porter', celebrating the songwriter's life story through his songs and script, tracing a career from Indiana to the world stages of New York, London, Paris and Venice; his marriage, his friendships with the greats of his age and his tragic riding accident that crippled him in mid-career, physically, but not artistically. The 32-strong talented cast is throwing a ball and you are all invited to a 'swellegant, elegant', theatrical party spanning the life of Broadway's greatest wit. The script is written by John Grant who also directs the show. Choreographer is Helena Sheridan. Gavin Murray will accompany the cast as musical director. The super local cast sing and dance their way through all his great songs such as the comic 'Brush up your Shakespeare', 'Anything Goes', 'Another Opening Another Show', 'True Love' and many more. The show has 30 hit after hit songs being performed. You will know all the songs from 'High Society', 'Anything Goes', 'Kiss me Kate', and more.
