Navan man's success with Jedward tour
At the beginning of this year, Navan man Conor Mulhall formed a new company called Savee Entertainment. From his experience and contacts in the music industry after working for over 14 years with the legendary Tommy Leddy at the Sound Shop in Drogheda and in recent years as sales and marketing manager for Tommy Leddy's new state of the art theatre, the TLT, Conor's new music management and promotion business was catapulted onto the market when the King of pop and X-Factor judge Louis Walsh agreed to give him a shot at promoting Jedward and their Carnival Tour. The tour took place back in August and sold over 15,000 tickets nationwide in venues such as the Grand Canal Theatre and Belfast's Waterfront Hall. Conor also promoted all their Irish summer festival dates which in total drew an approximate 60,000 people to streets across the country and he is set to continue as their promoter well into the future with Louis Walsh having already requesting that Conor promote their next tour in the spring of 2012. Savee Entertainment has quickly become one of the leading concert promoters and booking agents in the country with Conor recently signing a deal as the exclusive Irish agent for X-Factor girl-band Belle Amie. And it's not just music artists that are chasing the expertise of the Navan native, with personalities such as Glenda Gilson and Calum Best now using Conor's new company as they're booking agent. The future is bright for Savee Entertainment, with plenty of projects on the horizon and Conor is adamant to keep all business local with Navan based MG Audio supplying all sound and lighting at all his events and Conor hired Stuart O'Connor from Spotlight Stage School which has a Navan base to undertake the task of producing the latest Jedward tour, with dancers from the Spotlight Stage School getting the chance to perform on the tour dates. Stuart also produces the famous Olympia Christmas Panto which features Jedward so he's well used to working with them! The new business is going from strength to strength and Conor's say's he hopes to be employing up to six full time staff by the end of the year. Already numerous local businesses have benefited from the spin off of Conor's success and he plans to keep it that way. After struggling like everybody else for the past number of years, Conor say's that through determination and hard work he hopes his new business will develop into something he has always dreamed of. It shouldn't be a problem with venues and band managers from Monaco, Germany, the UK and Sweden all requesting the services of Savee Entertainment, Conor and his new company are bound for international success!
