Appreciation from Meath River Rescue
Dear sir - On behalf of Meath River Rescue, which was honoured at the 2011 Meath Rehab People of the Year awards, I would like to thank our family members for allowing us the time to search, train and fundraise and for their support in the work that we do. I want to thank the members of Meath River Rescue for electing me as chairman. We owe a big thank the public for their generosity at all our fundraisers as without their support we could not exist, and for all their good wishes. I would like to thank Meath Rehab and sponsors The Knightsbrook Hotel and Meath Chronicle for a thoroughly excellent night; also the judging panel who had a hard decision to make to pick from the 10 nominees as each one deserved the overall award. I would like to thank the Gardaí for all their help over the years. We owe a big thank you to Andrena Milligan (Gahon), her sister Aishling Parkes and their mother Maura for nominating Meath River Rescue for this fantastic award and they have become lifelong friends and we will be forever grateful to them. We also like to thank our sponsors, Costello Print. We would like to thank the county manager, the town clerk and councillors for a meeting taking place this week regarding a base in the Navan area for the river rescue group. Many thanks again to all. We are a recognised registered charity, our charitable status number is CHY19884. Our emergency number is (087) 638 8008. Yours, Christopher Rennicks, Chairperson, Meath River Rescue Service.
