Cllr chuckling at election outcome
Dear sir I am writing in reply to Cllr Shane Cassell's letter, entitled 'Cllrs' presidential moves well thought out', in which he responds to an article by John Donohoe entitled 'Dazed and Confused in Fianna Fail'. Having read the said article, I felt it was fair and balanced. Cllr Cassells referred to democracy and where his first and second preferences votes would be going, as well as the close Fianna Fail links of both Sean Gallagher and Mary Davis. I do not want to make reference to his comments on Fine Gael as that party is big enough to defend itself. Unlike Cllr Cassells, I waited until the election was over before putting pen to paper. He states in his letter that he allowed himself a little chuckle, not unlike myself, who had a very large chuckle when I saw the results coming in for Michael D Higgins, our new president elect. As a matter of fact, as I am about to turn off my laptop, I am still chuckling, Yours, Cllr Tommy Grimes, Michael D Higgins Campaign Team, Kells Electoral Area.
