'Lefty Lucy' shoots in Navan

Local filmaker Paul Webster shot a short comedy-drama in Navan last week. 'Lefty Lucy' is set behind the scenes of Irish politics. It takes place on the morning after a daliance between two political aides on opposing sides, and stars two very talented, up and coming young actors, Jenny Dixon and Shane Lennon. Webster, a native of Navan, studied film in GMIT and NUI Galway, where he set up his company fakedogfilms.com with fellow graduate Dara Moroney. The duo specialised in short films and music videos for international and Irish bands. He then spent two years working in the United Arab Emirates before returning to Ireland continue his work as a director, journalist and DJ. He has also just finished work on a promotional video for young Navan-based singer, Shannon O'Connor.
