Love and live music on 21st June

Musicians from the Royal Irish Academy of Music joined Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, and Moore Street traders in Dublin for an impromptu musical performance on one of Dublin's most iconic streets to announce the launch of love:live music, Ireland's National Music Day on 21st June. This day-long celebration of Irish music of all genres will see thousands of musicians stage free live music events across the country including an open air session in Enfield amongst others. A highlight event taking place as part of love:live music in Meath is the CAN Open Air Session. Open Air Session, a session of Irish traditional music and dance in Enfield from 7pm - 9pm. This event is presented in conjunction with Comhaltas Ceoltoirí. Other events set to take place across Meath include music, song and dance in Athboy, presents a traditional music session from 5pm - 7pm. Other unique, fresh and free musical performances across Meath will include 'Seisiun', An afternoon and evening session of traditional Irish music at the local Library, Dunboyne; Music Day, an outdoor music session in Nobber Village from 7.30pm - 9pm; and Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Eireann presents a range of other events throughout Meath including trad music, song and dance.
