Ballinlough edge north Meath derby

Last year's beaten semi-finalists Ballinlough notched up their first victory in this year's IFC when they defeated Gaeil Colmcille by 1-9 to 0-10 at Carnaross this evening. Trailing 0-3 to 0-6 at the break Ballinlough came out much stronger in the second-half and with the help of a converted penalty by Peadar Byrne they ran out winners. Gaeil Colmcille had two players, David Drew and Justin Carry Lynch, red-carded.
